Terminus approaching attendee cap
CHICAGO, IL -- Only a couple hundred registrations are still available for Terminus, a Harry Potter conference to be held August 7-11, 2008, in Chicago. The organizers confirmed that 1,200 people will attend the conference, and that they can accommodate at most 1,500. Online registration for the conference closes July 1.
"We're surprised and thrilled, of course," said organizer Hallie Tibbetts, who added that registrations have been selling quickly, and several events are completely sold out.
A handful of tickets remain for the keynote brunch with Tamora Pierce and participation in the Trade Winds Tournament; there are also tickets available for Wrock Chicago, a pre-conference concert.
Tickets may be purchased with new registrations or be added to existing registrations via the "Change My Registration" link at www.terminus2008.org/registration/changes/. Information about ticket prices and purchases for those not registered for the conference can be found on the Terminus website at www.terminus2008.org/registration/ticketsonly/.
Conference registrar Amy Wilson noted that some attendees may have tickets, registrations, and room shares to offer via the Terminus forums at www.terminus2008.org/forum/. Registration age restrictions, payment information, and ticket waiting list information for sold out events are available at www.terminus2008.org/registration/.
Terminus is presented by Narrate Conferences, Inc., a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to creating dynamic, innovative educational events for adult scholars, students, educators, librarians, professionals, and fans.
