Twentieth Century Fox is delighted to announce they have chosen the London MCM Expo event to unveil this year's hotly anticipated fantasy blockbuster Eragon to UK audiences.

To celebrate, visitors to the London MCM Expo on Saturday 27th May will be the first in the world to meet Eragon himself - bright young star Ed Speleers, who will be present between 2pm and 3pm to talk about his incredible experiences and introduce some very early footage.

Over the weekend of May 27/28, Eragon will take pride of place at the London MCM Expo, where visitors will be granted a magical introduction to the characters and the mystical world they inhabit.

Among the attractions:

• Meet Eragon himself -- Ed Speleers will be at London MCM Expo on Saturday May 27th from 2pm - 3pm to talk about the film and unveil exclusive movie action.

• Sierra Entertainment will be presenting Eragon - The Video Game for the first time on these shores. See how you will be able to immerse yourself in the world of Eragon with a presentation from the producer of the game.

• Explore the mesmerising world of Alagaësia and its extraordinary characters.

• Pick up a fan-tempting Eragon collector's brochure.

Eragon is an epic fantasy-adventure about a young man named Eragon whose destiny is revealed when he learns he is part of an elite troop of Dragon Riders. Eragon is swept into a world of magic and power, discovering that he can save -- or destroy -- an Empire.

The stellar cast introduces Ed Speleers and includes Jeremy Irons (Kingdom of Heaven, Reversal of Fortune), John Malkovich (In The Line of Fire, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy) and Djimon Hounsou (Gladiator, In America)

Eragon is the directorial debut by Stefen Fangmeier (visual effects maestro for such films as Saving Private Ryan, Twister, The Perfect Storm, Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World)

Eragon is based on the novel by Christopher Paolini, the New York Times bestseller. Twentieth Century Fox will release Eragon worldwide on December 15th 2006.

London MCM Expo takes place at the London Excel in Docklands on May 27/28 2006.
