Rumors flying about upcoming Goblet of Fire release

by Adam Kane, Wizard News Entertainment Reporter

Harry Potter fan websites are feeding the rumor mills today by reporting that Regal Cinemas, one of the largest movie theater chains in the US, is going to start selling advance tickets for Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire this Friday, October 14.

Currently, when you search for Goblet of Fire on the Regal Cinemas website, it gives you the following result:

"This movie opens on Friday, November 18. Showtimes are not yet available in your area."

and it offers to put you on an email list to be notified when the tickets are available.

Also today, fan websites are quoting "reliable sources" that the running time of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is 157 minutes, and some sites are reporting 160 minutes. Another source that possibly saw an advance screening reported a running time of over 154 minutes.

Yahoo! Movies is currently listing the running time of Goblet of Fire at 150 minutes, but AOL Moviefone lists the running time at 125 minutes, so apparently all of these are unofficial estimates.

There's no official confirmation of the running time of Goblet of Fire as of yet, but most of today's reports would seem to put it in the range of previous Potter flicks, the official running time of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets is 161 minutes.

Of course, that's not including waiting on line, getting your popcorn, and sitting through the commercials...
