Multiple translations of Half-Blood Prince in Iran

by David Haber, Wizard News Editor

Earlier this month we reported on Wizard News that the Persian translation of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince had been released in Iran.

We now know that was only part of the slightly confusing situation of legitimate versions of Half-Blood Prince in Persian in Iran.

We've heard from Mohammad Noorollahi in Iran, that the edition we reported on earlier was incomplete, only the first half of the book, and was not the first translation released in Iran.

The edition translated into Persian by Mohammad Noorollahi for Behnam Publication was actually issued before this other edition. Pictured above, this Persian edition of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince was published in Iran on August 14. The other editions we reported on earlier were released almost a month later.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince was released world-wide in English on July 16.
