Harry Potter business pledges Wands for Hurricane Relief
by David Haber, Wizard News Editor
Due to the huge disaster situation in Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama, last night our friends over at Alivan's Master Wandmakers announced that they are running a special promotion through Sept. 12th to benefit Hurricane Katrina Disaster Relief.
Alivan's is calling this special promotion Redwood for Red Cross, and through Sept. 12 they will be donating 100% of all profits from Redwood wand sales to the Redwood for Red Cross fund.
According to Finneas Alivan, Redwood is known to be extremely useful for protection spells as well as to help obtain focus and discipline. The user of a Redwood wand will find complete serentity in the most chaotic of situations, making these wands a very appropriate symbol for the support of those affected by Hurricane Katrina.
David Wedzik of Alivan's says that they wanted to do something to help because, being based out of the Florida Panhandle, they know first-hand how scary this situation is for the people living on the Gulf Coast. They're hoping to make it a big check for the relief fund, so if you'd like to get a new wand and help the victims of the hurricane in the process, please visit Redwood for Red Cross.
