Daniel Radcliffe to appear on BBC comedy/variety show

by Dave Haber, Wizard News Wizard

The BBC is planning a new prime-time variety show, hosted by comedy duo Hamish McColl and Sean Foley, who are best known for their hit West End tribute to Morecambe and Wise, The Play What I Wrote.

The show will have sketches, music and star guests, and according to the London Evening Standard, one of the scheduled guest stars is Harry Potter actor Daniel Radcliffe, although details of what he would do on a variety show were not announced.

If successful, the show could be commissioned as a Friday or Saturday night series. The Play What I Wrote won an Olivier award and was nominated for a Tony.

Recent rumors about Daniel being cast in a dramatic series on the BBC called All Things Great and Small turned out to be untrue.
