Harry Potter book found in Tsunami devastation
by Dave Haber, Wizard News Editor
Our friend Ola Åkesson over at The Swedish Rowling Fan Club has sent us info about an article in the swedish paper Aftonbladet.
Aftonbladet reports today that pages of the swedish version of the Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (Harry Potter och Fenixorden) were found in the ruins after the Tzunami struck a hotel in Khao Lak in Thailand.
The report in Aftonbladet reads:
-
"En bit från en sandig, tom ryggsäck ligger de ihopskrynklade sidorna 895, 896, 897 och 898 i en Harry Potter-bok på svenska.
Harry, Ron, Hermione och Sirius Black är i full kamp mot Lord Voldemort."
English translation, with help from Ola Åkesson:
-
"In a sandy backpack lies the torn out pages 895, 896, 897 and 898 from a swedish Harry Potter book.
"Harry, Ron, Hermione and Sirius Black are in full combat against Lord Voldemort."
Just another example of how wide-spread the devastation was, and how it touches all of us. Please click on the banner below to help if you can.
