Ex-girlfriend insists Elijah Wood is not gay

The Bourne Supremacy star Franka Potente has rubbished reports her ex-boyfriend Elijah Wood is a homosexual.

The German actress met Wood on the set of All I Want in 2002 and, despite the fallout of their turbulent romance, she insists he adores women.

Potente was shocked about rumours he is dating his Lord of the Rings co-star Dominic Monaghan and believes people presume he's gay because of his boyish appearance.

She says, "Oh God, no. He loves the ladies. I think that because he's not super-tall, people conjecture stuff up."
