About a month ago, we brought you the story in The Daily Mail that actor Ralph Fiennes was in negotiations to play evil Lord Voldemort in the movie version of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

Today, right on the heels of an apparent confirmation that Miranda Richardson will be Rita Skeeter in Goblet, now fan sites are reporting they are getting very strong word from their sources that a deal for Fiennes to play Voldemort may be very close. However, there is still no confirmation on this from Warner Bros. or Fiennes' management.

Fiennes is currently in Kenya filming The Constant Gardener opposite Rachel Weisz. However, scenes involving Voldemort aren't scheduled to shoot until the end of the year. ©
