Hollywood star Liv Tyler is struggling to focus on new ventures following the extensive filming and promotion of the Lord of the Rings trilogy.

The 26-year-old actress starred in each of Peter Jackson's Oscar-winning epics - which took over 16 months to film and were released over the course of three years - and Tyler admits she's having to slowly accept the movies require no more from here.

She says, "I think this whole year will be a process of weaning off it; every year we've had certain obligations.

"It's just been a part of my life, so I guess I'll slowly realise that's not the case any more."
