Movie hunk ORLANDO BLOOM puts his success in THE LORD OF THE RINGS trilogy down to his character's strength and good looks.

The 26-year-old actor says his role of LEGOLAS GREENLEAF appeals to both sexes - because men want to be him, and women want to be with him.

He says, "Perhaps people find the fact the elves are kind, angelic spirits who represent everything good in the world an attractive thing?

"Or maybe it's the blond hair, blue eyes and the fact he's pretty cool. For the guys, he's this Zen-like superhero and for the girls he's got all that, plus good looks too."
