Boy makes dung bomb in the microwave

[from The National Post]

How do you clean a microwave oven after a dung bomb has exploded inside it? With soapy water, answers home economist Pat Inglis of the Food Safety Info Line, sponsored by Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada. The western-based service went national this year, and while most questions revolve around turkey, there are some more unusual topics.

"We did have a call this summer from a lady who was very concerned about sanitizing her microwave oven because her son had made a dung bomb," Ms. Inglis said.

Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling didn't provide a recipe for dung bombs, favoured by the prankster Weasley twins in her books, so the caller's son improvised, filling the plastic capsule from a Kinder Surprise Egg with dog excrement and heating it until it exploded.

The ladies recommended washing the oven with soap and water then sanitizing with a teaspoon of bleach in three cups of water.
