 Half-Blood Prince Soundtrack to include 5.1 audio and extras
BURBANK, CA -- New Line Records will release the original motion picture soundtrack for the newest installment of the Harry Potter film franchise, "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince," from Warner Bros. Pictures, at digital retailers and on CD Tuesday, July 14. The score selection lineup features 28 diverse tracks, offering the listener over 60 minutes of music from the film, which opens nationwide on Wednesday, July 15.
Nicholas Hooper, who also scored "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix," returned to create another powerful and enchanting score. In a first for a Harry Potter film soundtrack, "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" will be an enhanced CD giving fans a free digital download of the entire soundtrack in 5.1 Surround Sound audio, along with bonus exclusive content.
A must-have for every Harry Potter fan, the original motion picture soundtrack will be available at all digital retailers and on CD Tuesday, July 14.
 
Warner Bros. Pictures presents a Heyday Films production, "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince," the sixth installment of Warner Bros. Pictures Harry Potter film franchise based on the beloved novels by J.K. Rowling. Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson return in the roles of Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger. The film also stars Helena Bonham Carter, Jim Broadbent, Robbie Coltrane, Michael Gambon, Alan Rickman, Maggie Smith, Timothy Spall, David Thewlis, Warwick Davis, Tom Felton, Helen McCrory, Julie Walters and Bonnie Wright.
"Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" is directed by David Yates from a screenplay by Steve Kloves, based on the novel by J.K. Rowling. David Heyman and David Barron produced the film, with Lionel Wigram serving as executive producer and John Trehy co-producing.
"Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" is being distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company. This film has been rated PG by the MPAA for scary images, some violence, language and mild sensuality.
