Miranda Richardson loved being Rita Skeeter
by Dave Haber
In a new interview in the UK newspaper The Independent, Miranda Richardson mentioned her appearance as rude Daily Prophet reporter Rita Skeeter in the latest Harry Potter movie, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

In the interview, she says she loved playing Rita Skeeter. She combined elements of the Vivienne Westwood of yesteryear with "someone like Liz Smith", gossip columnist for the New York Post. "Kids are very generous. I got some really sweet letters saying: 'You were exactly how I thought you should be', so I was very relieved about that," she says.
She also mentions she had a teenage crush on the late Richard Harris, the beloved actor played Professor Dumbledore in the first two Harry Potter films.
Miranda is a new film, Wah-Wah, which opens on June 2. She's also in two films that are premiering this week at the Cannes Film Festival.
