Former Boyzone star Stephen Gately is set to show an evil streak as The Childcatcher in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. He will star in the musical at the London Palladium from September.

But he also his heart set on another role - as Frodo in the forthcoming musical version of The Lord of the Rings.

"My dream would be to star in The Lord of the Rings musical. I'm small so I would be perfect to play a hobbit," he said.
