Deathly Hallows cliffhanger revealed
When Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I premieres this November, audiences will get all juiced up with no pay-off when the film breaks for Part II, set to be released eight months later in July, 2011. In the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly details, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows director David Yates describes where they have made the cut.

New photos from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
Now available on the internet are three brand new behind the scenes photos from the upcoming film Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I. The include Harry, Hermione and Ron in dramatic, outdoor scenes from the movie. The first of the final two Harry Potter films is due to be released in theaters on November 19.

Matthew Lewis
Matthew Lewis announces Harry Potter exhibit
Matthew Lewis, Neville Longbottom in the Harry Potter films, was on hand earlier this week to announce that Seattle would be the final stop in the traveling tour known as Harry Potter: The Exhibition. The exhibit is currently in Toronto, and will makes its way back to the States to reside at the Pacific Science Center in Seattle from October 23 until January 30, 2011.

Harry Potter stars ready to move on
Think of what it must be like to leave high school after 10 years, happy, yet melancholy. That, at least, were the mixed emotions coming from Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint as deduced by Entertainment Weekly earlier this summer, as the acting trio wrapped up the final two Harry Potter adventures.

University to run Harry Potter course
Durham University in England is to run a Harry Potter course. The university will offer a second-year undergraduate module entitled Harry Potter and the Age of Illusion from the next academic year. The course's professor says study of the social and moral issues raised in the children's book series has great relevance to today's society.

Universal or Disney considering Lord of the Rings theme park?
Middle-earth wouldn't be the first place I'd think of to fashion a theme park around, but that's not stopping Universal Studios from considering the idea. They must be having a lot of success with their recently opened Wizarding World of Harry Potter, because they're now trying to test the waters with a potential Lord of the Rings attraction.

Japanese audiences to get exclusive Deathly Hallows preview
It is being reported that on August 11, fans at several movie theaters across Japan will be able to see an exclusive preview to Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. The preview will be shown as part of a marathon event, in which all six Harry Potter movies will be shown. No word yet on whether a similar event will take place in the States.

Rumor: Daniel Radcliffe to star in comedy horror movie
Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe is reportedly in talks to star in comedy horror movie Jay and Seth vs the Apocalypse. Knocked Up star Seth Rogen and The Sorcerer's Apprentice actor Jay Baruchel are remaking the short they made in film school for the big screen, and Radcliffe is said to have asked to audition for the lead role.

Behind the scenes photos of Forbidden Journey ride
Last week when The Forbidden Journey ride malfunctioned at the Harry Potter theme park, a reader at the Theme Park Review website was there at the time, and she has provided some amazing behind-the-scenes photos taken from her iPhone while stuck on the ride. She said, "Was weird to see see how it all worked, but fascinating at the same time."

Dan Radcliffe to guest on Simpsons next season
The Simpsons is set to feature the voice of Harry Potter actor Daniel Radcliffe in the upcoming season. Radcliffe will provide a voice in their annual Halloween special. Homer Simpson was last month named the greatest character created for television and film in the past 20 years by Entertainment Weekly. Radcliffe was No. 2.

New invisibility cloak to be made of glass
Elena Semouchkina, an associate professor of electrical and computer engineering at Michigan Tech has found ways to use magnetic resonance to capture light and route it around objects, rendering those objects invisible. One day, could the police cloak a swat team or the Army, a tank? "It is possible in principle, but not at this time," she said.

J.K. Rowling throwing party for Harry Potter stars
Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling is throwing a party for the films' stars to celebrate the end of the movie franchise. Rowling, along with Warner Brothers, are putting the party together for the cast and crew of the popular series, which finally finished filming. The bash will be held at Leavesden Studios, where each of the eight movies have been filmed.

Rare J.K. Rowling work to auction for $40,000
A rare, unpublished work by Harry Potter author JK Rowling is being offered for sale for £25,000. The item is a hand-drawn, personal horoscope which Rowling gave to a friend at the time she was writing the first Potter book. It comprises 12 loose pages in a plastic folder and is being sold by memorabilia specialists Paul Fraser Collectibles.

Harry Potter celebrates his 30th birthday
It's hard to believe but boy wizard Harry Potter would be turning 30 if he was real. According to the books, the Hogwarts pupil was born on 31 July 1980. He has the same birthdate as author JK Rowling, but not the same year. Loads of fans are going along to the new Potter theme park in America to mark Harry's birthday.

In Pictures: Daniel Radcliffe celebrates birthday in London
After partying in Russia, Daniel Radcliffe flew back to London for another party with friends in his home country, laughing and joking with his pals as they spent the day watching cricket in London. Watching the cricket seems to be somewhat of a birthday tradition for Daniel, who also marked his 18th birthday by watching a game.

New theme park in India could include Harry Potter
Rumors are circulating regarding a possible new theme park partnership between Universal and Reliance ADA Group of India, possibly in the cities of Mumbai or New Delhi. Reliance ADA would have full ownership of the venture but would pay royalties and fees to Universale for the ability to use content from movies such as the Harry Potter franchise.

Michael Gambon
Michael Gambon to star in London revival
Michael Gambon, best known in America for playing Dumbledore in the Harry Potter films, will star in a limited engagement of Samuel Beckett's Krapp's Last Tape at the Duchess Theatre in London, according to whatsonstage.com. The production, which is transferring from Dublin's Gate Theatre, will run from September 15 to November 20.

Scholastic rejects Harry Potter plagiarism suit
Scholastic says the recent plagiarism lawsuit filed against it by the estate of late English author Adrian Jacobs is completely without merit. The suit alleges that the Harry Potter series is "substantially similar" to Jacobs's The Adventures of Willy the Wizard: Livid Land. J.K. Rowling said, "The claims that are made are not only unfounded but absurd."

Order of the Phoenix film loses $165 million
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix has reportedly lost $165 million, despite its popularity at the box office. The 2007 wizard movie is the ninth highest grossing film of all time in the global chart, taking $929 million. But a net profit statement leaked online suggests Warner Brothers still needs to recoup $165 million of the film's budget.

Tom Felton bags record deal
Harry Potter actor Tom Felton is giving Robert Pattinson a run for his money by bagging a record deal. The 23-year-old, who plays Draco Malfoy, has signed to Six Strings Productions. He said, "I'm a keen musician. Me and my mates have a great times jamming and recording stuff. But you definitely won't see me on the broomstick with a guitar."

Michael Gambon in Doctor Who Christmas Special
Sir Michael Gambon, who plays Professor Dumbledore, will be featured in this year's Dr. Who Christmas special. Gambon's role is not yet known, but it has been revealed that this year's Christmas special will be "Doctor Who's clever twist on the much loved A Christmas Carol." Dr. Who lead writer Steven Moffat said, "It's all your favorite Christmas movies at once, in an hour."

Nanny McPhee 2 reunites Harry Potter co-stars
In Nanny McPhee Returns, Emma Thompson returns in the title role, and the film also stars her Harry Potter co-stars Ralph Fiennes, Maggie Smith and Rhys Ifans, who plays Xenophilius Lovegood in Deathly Hallows. The first nanny McPhee movie also starred Imelda Staunton, who played Delores Umbridge in Order of the Phoenix.

Dan Radcliffe is swapping Harry Potter for Hammer horror to star in gothic thriller The Woman in Black. Dan will play Arthur Kipps, a young lawyer who is ordered to travel to a remote corner of the UK to sort out a recently deceased client's papers. But as Kipps works alone in an old and isolated house, he begins to uncover its "tragic secrets".

Tom Felton set for Rise of the Apes
Tom Felton will co-star in the upcoming Planet of the Apes prequel, set for release in June of next year. In Rise of the Apes, Felton will play the son of a heartless man who operates a primate sanctuary. And according to his Twitter channel, he's a singer, too, Tom will also be recording a new album for Six String Productions.

Matthew Lewis says Neville is a changed man
Harry Potter star Matthew Lewis has admitted that he was pleased not to have to wear false teeth for the final movie in the series. As Neville Longbottom, he had to also wear a fatsuit and have his ears made to stick out. He said, "The teeth and the ears were the first to go, and then the fatsuit came shortly after. I look a lot more like him in the new film."

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows previews were shown during ABC Family's Harry Potter Weekend recently. Not only do these show some behind-the-scenes work of filming, but they also feature commentary from Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson. The first part is coming this November with second following it up next Summer.

Harry Potter Exhibition in Toronto is a must for fans
It is not necessary to hop on a train from Platform 9 3 /4 at King's Cross Station in London to visit Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. One only needs to go to Toronto for the Harry Potter: The Exhibition at the Ontario Science Centre. More than 400 authentic costumes and props from six Harry Potter films are featured in the exhibition.
