The trials of the Hogwarts IT director
 by John Cox
Headmaster: I regret that I must resign my position, effective two weeks ago, at least. It is simply impossible under these conditions to create a modern, integrated, flexible IT architecture aligned with the school's educational mission and objectives. Despite my best efforts, Hogwarts' IT communications infrastructure will remain dependent on owls, talking letters, the use of Floo powder and a fireplace network, and of course, divinations, dreams and visions.

Or at least any Tech support guy I've ever known has sucked the soul out of many when trying to fix my problems!
I prefer to think that the good folks at Hogwarts would use a computer that runs on magic, predicts the thoughts of the user and just works right all the time....you know: a Mac. Posted by D from Knoxville, TN on November 12, 2007 07:40 AM
Well, wizards don't need technology, they have an equivalent for almost evrything, save computers and tv, but I guess the one thing they could never do with magic is going on the Moon. Read a fan fiction once with walkie talkie working with floopowder. it work like a lighter save the fact the stock isn't gas but floo powder and you gotta say the name of who you wanna speak to, almost like a phone or a two way mirror. HaHaHa. Funny. This is really random, but how does Moaning Myrtle flood the bathroom when she is ghost and cant touch anything? Posted by Aranel from US on June 26, 2009 3:21 PM
Good point Aranel! I'd never thought of that before. But in the books it always says that she can make a splash when she dives into the toliets or the bath so I suppose she would just splash the water around everywhere or something like that. But that would also bring up the question of how can she do that because she is a ghost and can all ghosts touch/move water? Posted by Kelly from Florence, KY on September 6, 2009 10:36 AM
