The Repeating History of Dumbledore

by David Haber

When we first meet young Tom Riddle in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, I believe J.K. Rowling is wording descriptions of events with it in mind for us to see similarities between Tom Riddle and Harry. Point of interest: Dumbledore actually first met Riddle BEFORE Grindelwald was defeated. Here's proof:

1992: Chamber of Secrets (the book)
Fifty years before (1942): Chamber of secrets is opened for the first time. During this time Ridle was a prefect, meaning it was probably about 4 years after Dumbledore first met Riddle.
1945 (after chamber of secrets is opend for the first time): Grinelwald is defeated.

Please! Why does everything has to be seen in the sexual perspective.. Dumbledore was so much older than Tom and MUCH WISER than when he had first met Grindelwald. Dumbledore helping out was simply his good nature and giving everyone a chance before assuming anything. I still don't accept that Dumbledore was .. although the author herself has stated it.. the books have been written and they say nth abt him being .. and as it has being said it is now our own perception of the story.. and it is up to us to decide whether he was

perhaps on some unconscious or even conscious level dumbledore was trying to give grindelwald a chance to redeem himself through the young riddle who was so like him
but it was probably dumbledore's forgiving and trusting nature
