The Aftermath: We were all correct

by David Haber

Sometime a week before Book 7 came out, someone commented that Harry would die, but then come back. I think most everyone on the site thought it was a silly idea. But I told several people at that time that I thought that just might be the perfect solution, although I couldn't figure out how J.K. could make it work. J.K. did, of course! So, the half of the Harry Potter fans in the world who thought Harry would die were right! And the other half who thought he would live were also right!

For the epilogue haters.

maybe JK left a lot to the imaginations of the children she wrote the books for.

few questions:
1. would harry still be able to speak parseltongue even though voldemort's horcrux in harry is now destroyed?
2. Also, HOW did that horcrux get destroyed by just an AK because all horcruxes needed to be destroyed either by the griffindor sword or the fire? if that was the case, an AK could have been used to destroy nagini too right?

Scorpius - let's give him a break, guys. Of course he falls in love with Rose and becomes a better person for it; maybe even gets to marry her since he's rich and handsome, unlike poor Snape. Maybe their children are Sirius and Andromeda?

It took me 13 hours to read DH... Was it worth it? You bet it was.

JK once again showed us all why we love Harry Potter:
Love, Courage, Friendship.

But she also added some recurring elements into the book. (I'm sorry if anyone has already mentioned this):

Harry protected the rest of the people in the battle like his mother protected him; he tells Voldemort this. This is because, like Lily, he was ing to to save the others. This is why the silencing charms don't work on the students.

I never believed the "Harry is a Horcrux" theory either. Just goes to show.

I also love the way she incorporated the ly Hallows as another option, which threatened the quest on which they were on.

Can't wait for the encyclopedia.

R.I.P everone who d.

I'm gonna miss Harry and everyone else (even Voldemort)

Just out of curiosity, when were Playstation 2s invented? cos in book 4, harry writes to sirius about dudley chucking his PS2 out of the window, and i somehow dont think they were around in 1994. i know this seems a bit stupid, but it just came into my head.

Oops. J.K. made a mistake there. According to wikipedia, the Playstation 2 was first released in Japan on March 4, 2000, in North America on October 26, 2000. Book 4 took place in 1994, and it was released in July, 2001.

Someone pointed out how adorable the child Severus Snape was -- I must agree -- and did anyone other than me notice similarities between Albus Severus and him? Albus seemed very intense and serious, kind of like the child Snape... determined to be in a certain house at Hogwarts... James Potter Jr. seemed a lot like one of the Weasley twins, which would make sense, being as he is Ginny Weasley's child... Lily also seemed like Ginny when she was young... but Albus Severus seemed kind of like the younger version of Snape to me. I thought it was neat.

By the way, someone on this site mentioned something and I never once realized it -- is Nagini the snake Harry set free in the very first book? That's crazy!

1. It sometimes seems like there are only 10 aurors in all of England, and yet there are a million eaters.

2. When Harry uses the resurrection stone, shouldn't Snape have showed up? He was, after all, a good guy.
