J.K. Rowling goes Beyond the Epilogue

J.K. Rowling has announced in a new interview with that the epilogue of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows was vague on purpose. She admitted her original epilogue was "a lot more detailed," but now that Book 7 is in our hands, J.K. no longer has to hold back any information about Harry Potter, and has now given us a lot of new details about the story and the characters.

I really wish JK Rowling would make a book about after the nineteen years later and before Harry's parents d. Also, I thought it would be cool if she made a series about Albus Potter and how he grew up! That would be really cool! Posted by Maddie from New Jersey, USA on January 12, 2009 1:12 PM

I think that the epilogue really sort of finished things off for me. I absolutely love this series; it was the first novel I ever read and remains my favorite. However, I thought the the epilogue was really very predictable. I mean, Ron and Hermione was definitely a good pairing, and that worked well. I didn't even mind Harry and Ginny together. But James, Albus and Lily? I would have liked to have some different names that weren't so.... easy to guess. Anyway, I'm just glad there was an epilogue. If I had to pick one more fact to know, I would like to know who the new Minister of Magic is. If there's an encyclopedia, I'm coming to Borders at Midnight to get myself a copy. Well I personally think that JK should either do harry's after life with him catching dark wizards (his job is an auror) or make Harry's kids life. I mean tons of fans want to see some more Harry Potter, Read some more Quidditch, and just have some more Harry Potter/kids (Albus,James,Lilly). And JK if you see this try to do so. Alot more work but at the same time alot more FUN! Posted by Jeff from MA on February 14, 2009 2:12 PM
If you take each book one by one they are harshly criticized, but over all Rowling's word is great!
However I am dissapointed about the lack of information about eaters. I would've really wanted to know more about them and why not an extended Familly tree of the the main Pureblood families.
Anyway I'd like to say a big THANKS to Rowling for writing these books. Posted by Geoffrey Laforge from Paris, France on February 19, 2009 10:15 AM
I think that george naming his child fred thing was realy cute. i was realy upset wen fred d. I'm realy hapy for Luna and im not at all surprised that Neville ended up being an herbology teacher afterall he was always good at herbology. The only thing I'd love to know would be about albus's school life, he seemed like the special kid in all three harry's kids. Posted by wardarox from faisalabad, pakistan on February 20, 2009 06:53 AM
