J.K. Rowling goes Beyond the Epilogue

J.K. Rowling has announced in a new interview with that the epilogue of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows was vague on purpose. She admitted her original epilogue was "a lot more detailed," but now that Book 7 is in our hands, J.K. no longer has to hold back any information about Harry Potter, and has now given us a lot of new details about the story and the characters.

I don't think we ever found out what happened to Florean Fortesque either?

I don't understand why Hermione pretended to be Penelope in DH and said she was a Half-Blood when Penelope is Muggle born (She was attacked along with Hermione in CoS)

In the Epilouge, the watch that Harry is wearing belonged to some person, whom i had never heard of before.... does any one know who he is or was? And about the kid's name thing. I think that JK should have really added Sirius to the names. i think a good combo would have been "Sirius James Potter". Anyway. was James on his second year into Hogwarts? and does Ron become an Auror or goes into the bussines with George?

The watch harry was wearing was given to him by Mrs. weasley on his seventeenth b'day. It belonged to molly's brother fabian prewett who was ed by eaters along with his brother Gideon. Mrs weasley said it was a tradition to gift a watch to the wizard who comes of age. About kids names, it is actually James Sirius Potter (the eldest son of harry). JKR revealed it on the new family tree shown on her website. she has also shown that Draco's wife is some Asteria Greengrass (that's how i could read it, correct me if needed).

also, harry has named her daughter "Lily luna". that's very sweet I think, kind of honouring the friendship.

On the Weasley family tree, I wondered why JKR never married Charlie to anyone? Where did the person's Percy and Draco married come from? Did I miss them in the books somewhere?

I really wanted for Tonks and Lupin to survive they were a great couple.. My suspisions were on Luna and Ron, but she ed my favorite two. That was tooo harsch J.K.!
Really swati? That's really cool he has the watch of Fabian but I wonder why mrs. Weasley didn't gave the watch to one of her sons, you know, keeping it in the family?

So in the books it turns out that Harry is the last descendent of the youngest of three brothers. Were they descendants of Slytherin or in any way related to the Gaunts?

I also thought that Tonks and Sirius were related. cousins or something. does anyone know?

Posted by Jose from Washington State on January 6, 2008 7:37 PM

Jose:

Sirius and Tonks ARE related, but since Andromeda was Sirius's cousin and was cut off from them, nobody ever considered Tonks part of the family.

xvy,
Mrs weasley gave a new watch to ron, as she mentioned to harry and may be she would not have given harry the watch had she been able to purchase a new one (she was apologetic about giving harry an old one). seems because of workload of marriage she could not purchase a new one and decided to give her favourite (i'm sure, she would have kept it with her otherwise) watch to harry.
