Harry Potter's last word: Write your own Book 7 ending

In an interview in 2005, J.K. Rowling confirmed that, as of that time, the last word in the final Harry Potter book was "scar". How do you imagine the final page of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows will look? Write your own ending for the book and share it with us! The only requirements: Please write one to three paragraphs max, and the last word of your entry must be "scar".

UPDATE: The Last Word is No Longer Scar!

Friday night (7/6/07) on the Jonathan Ross show on the BBC, J.K. was asked if "scar" still the last word in the book, as had been reported, and she said, "Scar? It was for ages, and now it's not. Scar is quite near the end, but it's not the last word." So, please continue with our three paragraph fantasy endings, but you no longer have to make "scar" the last word if you don't want...

...the flash of green light came closer to Harry but he parried the incantation. Now it was his turn. He said: "Avada Kedavra!" and pointed at Voldemort's chest. Harry saw the fear and surprize in Voldemort's eyes, and then he flew out of sight in a curve.

Harry knew that Voldemort finally was , and he felt relieved. And Harry did know that because that something on his forehead was gone. It was his scar...

And with his final ounze of strength, Harry lifted his wand, screaming for the remorse of his parents, Dumbledore, and Sirius: "Avada Kadavra!" A jet of green lightening shot across the great hall of Hogwarts, twarting the chest of Lord Voldemort. After destroying all 6 Horcruxes, Voldemort was now mortal, just like any other wizard, which meant only one thing; the Dark Lord was . Being released from the freezing curse Harry had put them under; the same one that Dumbledore had placed on Harry the previous year, Ron and Hermione ran through the carnage in the Great Hall to Harry, the enchanted ceiling now brightening; clouds beginning to break and the sun beginning to shine. The couple tried desperately for hours to bring some life back to Harrys body, and it wasn't until they realised that Professor McGonagall, Remus Lupin and Hagrid were watching over them hopelessly, that they too realised it was no good, that it was too late; Harry was gone. There was was nothing they could do for him, nothing they could do for 'the boy who lived.'

Seconds later, Harrys eyes struck open, as if with a sudden burst of resuscitation, his body rose into the air. Mcgonagall, Ron, Hermione, Lupin and Hagrid watched as his body rose, lighting up the whole room, his wand slowly slipping from the loose grip of his hand, echoing as it his the floor, inches in front of his two best friends. Reaching down from the enchanted ceiling, Lily and James Potter came into view, the two proud parents watching as their courageous son rose towards heaven: "Thats it Harry, you're nearly there, we can be a family again soon." Hermione burst into tears, a tear ran down Rons face, and Harry was gone, reunited with his loving parents once more.

Holding each other tightly, sobbing into each others arms, Ron and Hermione remembered their first day at Hogwarts; the first time they had met on the Hogwarts Express, and what had turned into seven years of adventure, happiness, sadness, and the inevitable truth that one day, the prophecy would be fulfilled and that it would all end one way or another for that boy, Harry Potter; the boy with the scar.

and now Harry is happy. The three people he loves be with him forever. In heven. And the best thing about it the curse has lifted and now there was no scar.

As Harry, hermione, neville, all weasleys but percy and george, all of the order except mad-eye, mundungus, and shacklebolt, looked the remaining bos of the , something moved, it was george, he was alive. he got up shook himself off and joined the rest. all remaining blacks gone, the rest of the eaters mourning over not only themselves but voldemort.

barty crouch junior walked up to dumbledore, and said, "truce?" "yes, i suppose every one deserves a second chance". harry touched his forehead he felt some thing he had never felt before, emptiness, he was missing his scar.

Harry has just defeated the most powerful wizard in the world.
He thought "Shouldn't I be happy?" The answer is no. He lost his friends. Ron came up to Harry wanting to talk. But the he noticed something and said "Harry, where is your scar?"

Mcgonagall said "Sweet candys!", and the door went on its side, showing her the known and liked office, but one thing was different this time, on her chair, stood a very old man, his white hair covering his face.
Dumbledore couldn't stop crying, Mcgonagall didn't know what to do, she just started staring at him. She thought it's Neville under the polyjuice effect.
But, to her suprise, Dumbledore in his regular 'seat', he was not in his portrait.

Suddenly a voice said "Pssssst!" They both jumped, "Can you hear me guys?".
"What!?" said Dumbledore "A talking Scar?"
He did not know, It was harry there, covered by his invisibilty cloak, looking at them from Dumbledore's portrait, only they could see, was a lightning shaped scar.

And so Harry stood there...staring at the veil. He could hear them, calling to him. The veil fluttered softly, yet there was no breeze. He imagined them all, just an arms lengths away. His mum, his dad, Sirius, Dumbledore, Ginny, Snape and Hagrid. He smiled at Dumbledores analogy that was just the next great adventure. Harry smiled in the knowledge that those who he loved best were all behind the veil. And he smiled in the knowledge that those who he loved best on earth, Ron & Hermione, were together, and happy, and at last..now thanks to him, safe. Voldemort was destroyed, his terror would no longer reign over his best friends lives, and Harry felt a rush of happiness, and finally of contentedness. He had done what he had set out to do. He had destroyed the remaining horcruxes and Voldemort, now it was time for Harry to join those who loved him best. Harry strode forward, without hesitation, and fell into the veil, joining those who have loved him from beyond in the veil for so long, nothing but the memory of "The Boy Who Lived" remaining, not even his scar.

As Harry browsed the graveyard for the thousandth time, with his two best friends (who were now his brother- and sister-in-law) and his wife, he wondered how many less there would have been if Voldemort had never been born, and how many more if he had never given him the lightning shaped scar...
