Harry Potter's last word: Write your own Book 7 ending

 In an interview in 2005, J.K. Rowling confirmed that, as of that time, the last word in the final Harry Potter book was "scar". How do you imagine the final page of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows will look? Write your own ending for the book and share it with us! The only requirements: Please write one to three paragraphs max, and the last word of your entry must be "scar".
UPDATE: The Last Word is No Longer Scar!
Friday night (7/6/07) on the Jonathan Ross show on the BBC, J.K. was asked if "scar" still the last word in the book, as had been reported, and she said, "Scar? It was for ages, and now it's not. Scar is quite near the end, but it's not the last word." As Harry sat in his new room, in his new house, with a weeping Hermione leaning on his shoulder, Harry could not help himself. He had to leave her, on what should have been a happy day; the day Ron and Hermione had arranged for their marriage.
He went for a walk, thinking about the past year. How he had destroyed the Horcruxes. How he had lost Hagrid and Lupin. But most importantly how Ron had thrown himself in front of Voldemort's ing curse, the Avada Kedavra, to give Harry the time to send his own ing curse back at Voldemort.
And he remembered how he sat next to Ron for hours after his , in complete silence, tears streaming down his face. Hagrid, ed by Macnair, after being hit three times by the Avada Kedava before falling to it. Lupin, ed in a vicios werewolf battle with Greyback, who also d. Ginny stood in front of the stone monuments. She hadn�t been able to go back there for years. Her brother... her sister- in-law... Harry.... She collapsed and began to sob, wailing in a way she hadn�t since they all d. There were other stone coffins here, but none so carefully decorated. Why the hell didn�t Harry let her go? He knew how she felt about all of this. "You... you were the most stubborn man I ever knew," she whipered. "Who you to decide what I'd do with my life!? You just walked away! WHO WOULD WALK AWAY FROM WHO THEY LOVE!?" she screamed at the center tomb, both more satisfied for saying it and guilty at the same time. For the rest of her time there, she said nothing, only watching the stone coffins with a mixture of emotions she could never quite sort out throughout her life. A footstep echoed behind her. "Who's there?" she yelled, wand out. A man in his late fifties walked over to Ginny, with grey hair, and ever pale skin. Black robed and in a snake leather cloak, was Draco Malfoy. "I figured you be here." Ginny didn�t lower her wand. "I saw you fight Harry. If it wasn�t for you, he�d still be here... with me...." her eyes were red but she didn�t dare cry in front of this mon- "I found it...." he said. Slowly, Draco extended his arm and opened his hand. There inside, was Voldemort's wand, snapped in two, with a phoenix feather clearly burned up inside. "The last horcrux is gone. Voldemort's . For good." Ginny stared at it with a stone face. No one ever could find the last Horcrux, and after the Daily Prophet printed its existence, everyone was afraid he would return again. Then who would be around to stop him this time? But now, in the flash of a second she saw Voldemort was truly . Draco said little else after he shifted to the coffin and swung his wand over it. The coffin's top opened, and in it was a Harry Potter who under its magic was still the fresh 19 year old man when he d. Draco placed the wand pieces in next Harry's own wand, and resealed the coffin, but not before Ginny could catch one more time a glimpse of Harry's scar. Ron stood, his hand on his sons shoulder. "Have a good term, Harry." Hermione bent down to kiss him, a single tear in her eye. "Promise me you'll send us an owl as soon as you get there, OK?" Harry nodded, his eyes shining with excitement under his flaming Weasley hair. He kissed Hermione and hugged Ron then sprinted over to the train and scrambled aboard. Ron put his arms around Hermione as the train began moving, steam billowing out of it as it always had. Hermione looked around at Ron who appeared to be lost in thought. She didn't need to ask what he was thinking about. They were both lost in memories of their first ride on the Hogwarts Express. As the train begin to pick up speed he spotted his son in a compartment at the back of the train. A tear ran down his cheek- he could almost see himself in that same spot so many years ago, asking little Harry Potter if he could see his scar. "Avada Kedavra!" two voices shouted into the mystical night. instead of the green flash of light that the curse always set off, the light was red and flashed only for a second. everyone watched as the two bos, of voldemort and harry rose into the air and burst in to flames! and then, all was quiet. as if nothing had happened. and from then on, if anyone ever spoke of famous harry potter, they remembered his face, how he d and that lightening shaped scar. Harry amongst the destruction, s and injuries has the defeated the world's most wicked and twisted wizard, Voldemort. Harry couldn't believe how lucky he was to have escaped again, but with a price. There right in front of him was the lifeless body of Snape, who saved him at the last moment from certain .
Harry had mixed emotions toward this, he was happy and sad and he didn't know why. There was Ron, fifteen yards away, knocked out but alive, Hermione beside him crying and Ginny walking toward him smiling and crying. he remembered all who sacrificed their lives to win the war, Lupin, ed by Greyback, Hagrid, by several eaters, Wormtail, who payed his life , Percy, ed trying to protect the minister of magic.

The trio stood side by side, looking upon everyone who was gone. Neville, who had, at the last moment thrown himself in front of Harry to give him enough time to Voldemort; Hagrid, who was ed by Bellatrix; Lupin who had a vicious fight with Greyback who was also ; and Snape, among many others, who had been attacked by 4 eaters at once. So many people, Harry thought, all sacrificing themselves for one person to be . Tears streaming down their faces they, (harry, ron, hermoine) together thought, 'all because of a scar.' Harry stared triumphantly over the lifeless body of the darkest wizard in the wizarding world, Voldemort. Harry looked around the carnage and destruction surrounding him and the Voldemort after their duel. Harry tried to remember exactly what happened; Voldemort muttered, "Avada Kedavra!", a jet of green light shot out of Voldemort's wand, towards Harry. Out of no where, Snape jumped and took the ing curse straight at the chest, fell and d. Voldemort was taken aback and distracted by this. Snape gave his life for Harry, saved him from certain , giving him an opportunity he cannot miss. Summoning all the hatred within, thinking who d for him; his Parents, Sirius, Dumbledore, Hagrid, Lupin and Tonks, Harry muttered, "Avada Kedavra!" A jet of green light shot out of Harry's wand. It looked like time slowed. Harry felt it took forever for his ing curse to hit Voldemort. And then IT DID. Voldemort started to fall slowly, life removed from his chalk-white body. He was now . Harry smiled at his flash back, he was absolutely sure that Voldemort never come back. He destroyed "all" the horcruxces, together with the help of Ron, Hermione and Ginny.
Harry went to where Hermione, Ginny and Ron stayed while Harry dueled with Voldemort. Hermione and Ginny were crying, Ron looked astonished at what took place. They were all happy, it was finally over! Ginny, Harry's wife, kissed him. Ron looked annoyed. Ginny asked, "Harry, what's happening to your scar?" The whole wizarding community celebrated at the of the most feared wizard of all time. The dark lord is now along with the many heroes which the wizrding community refered to as a terrible loss. hermione, harry, ron, snape, dumbledore, and neville all gave their lives to save the world. they all glimpsed these heroes one last time. As Neville relived the past two days, he no longer felt a purpose to live. All of his friends were , Voldemort was gone, forever. He couldn't believe it. Harry was under his invisible cloak, he put the timeturner he had gotten from Mcgonagall inside his robe, he was standing outside his parents house waiting for Voldemort. he had destoyed all the horcruxes. Voldemort be vanquised tonight. Harry saw Voldemort coming up the path, he took off his cloak and step out where Voldemort could see him. Voldemort thought he was James he said, "step aside I am here for the boy." Harry said, "I am the boy," then he raised his wand and said, "Avada Kedavra." Voldemort screamed "no not ," Voldemort hit the ground with an scared look on his face. Harry looked at the house with his parents inside. All the bad memories he had was gone, he knew he would not be known has the boy who lived. He would be Harry, just Harry Potter without the scar.
