Final Deathly Hallows Debates: Who Lives and Who Dies?

We know for sure that some characters are going to die in Deathly Hallows. Last year in an interview, J.K. Rowling said that two characters die who she had not originally thought would die in the end of the story. That means at least two characters die, but probably more. And that's probably not counting Harry and/or Voldemort. So who lives and who dies? Tell us who you think will die, and more importantly, why you think so.

The people who I think is someone really close to Harry. That could be soomeone like Hagrid, Hermione, Ron, Lupin, Ginny. But i agree with Conner. Snivellus, Percy, Draco the dragon, wormtail, and Voldy.

I think many characters :

-Voldemort. He is the evil one.
-Harry. I wouldn't like him to, but it's a feeling I have.
-Ron. He's my favorite character, since Sirius' , but maybe he sacrfice himself for Harry.
-A Weasley. One of them has to , Ron, but someone else, I think maybe Ginny, because all the love she has for Harry and maybe also Molly, that destroy the family.
-Draco. He didn't fulfill his mission, Voldemort him.

From the Eathers:
-Bellatrix. She has to pay for what she did to Sirius!
-Wormtail. He definitley has to , he destroyed many peolpe lives, especially Harry, Remus and Sirius.
-Lucius. If he s, maybe Narcissa and Draco turn to the good side.

And also...
-Maybe Voldemort makes Lucius his son, and like he wouln't do it, Voldemort him, and then Draco.
-Neville could Bellatrix! (I hope so.)

anyone thought about creatures that may be involved...i mean this is "the" final saga right?...so i bet anything many creatures be involved in this fight against the evil...namely...norbert (dragons), fluffy, buckbeak, the merpeople, fawkes, the giants were mentionned to be with voldemort, grawp, the werevolves, etc...

im just mentioning the creatures that shall be involved where i bet some casualties shall lie.

Rufus Scrimgeour, by Wormtail's Silver Hand (Rufus Scrimgeour is a vampire as you remember)

Ginny Weasley, I be very surprised if Lord Voldermort won't use Harry's "only" weakness

I think Harry s, I believe he makes a sacrifice. He either sacrifices for Ginny or Lupin, so he s Voldmort but gets mortally wounded. The other person that s is Dumbledore, they couldnt find his body, and the ing curse that was put on him doesnt knock back, it makes a person crumple.

I really don't trust Rowling to keep anyone alive anymore, but there are some people who seem more likely to than others.

I think at least one of the Weasleys . There are so many of them, and they are all important in some way. I don't really have a good guess as to which one .

Lupin might , but I don't see him as an important character or as a fartherly figure. He's been in the background since book 3. I think Hagrid is more likely to because he is more important to Harry.

I found the theory that someone mentioned above interesting - maybe Harry as a reward because he be with Ginny (if she s) and Sirius. Oh yeah, and his parents.

I agree that the good characters not have to use Unforgiveable Curses. Dumbledore's whole emphasis on love would be pointless if everyone started using the AK curse. There are other ways of ing other than using the ing curse.

Hermione is going to because no one is really expecting it soo i think hermione and obviously Voldemort s her..

Ron and Hermoine both either trying to protect Harry or trying to protect each other (since they're in love with one another). Harry then has to Voldemort on his own with no friends to help him.

I have not totally decided on this one. i believe that on the night the dark lord ed lily and james potter he placed the sixth horcrux inside of harry. i believe that voldemort along with harry.

I also believe that Ginny as well. ginny was never a major character in the series but seeing how she was in the half blood prince so much i believe that she . she because she loves harry and has loved him her whole life.

Ron or Hermione i dont know which one it be but one definetly has to .
i also believe that hagrid and professor mcgonagall . j.k. rowling likes to people who are important to the series and hagrid and minerva are a perfect fit for that.
lupin and tonks also .
snape in an attempt to help harry voldemort.

if you go see star-wars and the judeo-christian fables again, you get the clue of who lives or s.

the trio not , because the trinity never does. Harry obviously cannot use anything "evil" to Voldemort, that would make him as bad. His greatest power is love. he is the "one", see neo, luke, frodo. Both Harry and voldemort , the difference is, for Voldemort, it be frightening, for Harry it be a sacrifice which redeem him. who does it begin with? harry. who must it end with? harry. every writer, when they write a narrative, attempt to bring it to some kind of closure. Dumbledore had to , he was john the Baptist. Hermione and Ron cannot , otherwise who carry Harry's legacy, his memory, and his moralities?

the other character who has a fairly good chance of is Snape. as to JKR's statement that two characters she didnt envisage as earlier s now, it is Harry and Snape. this is since she started this book out as a "childrens" story, but since then the books have taken on a different complexity. if you read the books together, you begin to realize that her style of writing too has changed. as we progress down the books they become far more tales of morality, religion, etc, than the first one. given this, I would venture that Harry, as he was envisaged earlier, would not have d, but as he stands now, the judeo-christian "savior", he has to ...

I believe that Harry definately , but Voldemort won't. As someone said earlier, they each have a piece of the other inside them (Harry with the scar and Voldemort Harry's blood). And we all know that Harry won't go evil. Then maybe Voldemort s Harry, but then suddenly feels guilty (he does after all have Harry's love-rich blood in him) and then goes crazy with guilt.

My two cents: the chances of people are in percentage, the higher the % the higher the chance of

Harry Potter: 70% mainly because I personally beleive it is likely he was made a horcrux and would have to himself

Ron: 40% Maybe ed for emotional reasons but serves no other purpose

Hermione: 40% same as Ron
Ginny: 70% maybe ed just to fuel harry's anger
Lupin: 85% The last person who was close to Harry's parents and a person close to Harry I doubt he'll make it
Hagrid: 40% same as Ron and Hermione
Mr and Mrs Weasley: 20%
I highly doubt they'll be ed it doesn't seem to serve any purpose
Fred and George: 70%
For some reason I feel they are the 2 who were initially intended to live but wil eventually have to face the axe
Snape: 90% Good or bad it's unlikely he'll make it
Draco Malfoy: 50% I feel he's the one who may have got the
reprieve
Lucius: 80% maybe ed by Voldemort to make Draco turn against him
Voldemort: 100% there's no way he'll live...JK cant be that cruel
Neville: 65% many think he may due to being the other buy but I'm hopefull for his chances
