Final Deathly Hallows Debates: Who Lives and Who Dies?

We know for sure that some characters are going to die in Deathly Hallows. Last year in an interview, J.K. Rowling said that two characters die who she had not originally thought would die in the end of the story. That means at least two characters die, but probably more. And that's probably not counting Harry and/or Voldemort. So who lives and who dies? Tell us who you think will die, and more importantly, why you think so.

I think it be Hagrid because of his major part in all the books. Snape . Wormtail . Lupin might survive but most likely not. All the marauders must , I personally think.

For Jordan and Cammeron:

Regulas Black is , ed by Voldemort or by his command 15 years prior to OotP, as mentioned in that book pg 112. Sirius goes over this while showing Harry the Black family tree.

As for who , anything is possible, but we can all agree though heartbroken we are afterwards, JK give us what all Potter fans deserve, an excellent end to a wonderful saga. Probably leave just enough for us to make our own fantasies for ages....

Who do you figure could Hagrid?

I think that the characters who are Hermione (maybe Viktor Krum participate in her ) and Ron. The both characters are going to follow Harry in his dangerous journey so their lives are in great peril... Maybe Draco , he FAILED on his important TASK which Voldemort gave him.

It's probably a long shot, but maybe Harry survive after ing Voldemort afterall and go on to be a Quidditch legend!

Who ....hmmmm difficult

Voldemort though perhaps not in the way we expect. The prophecy doesn't say that Harry must him, but that he has the power to vanquish him. It would be too easy for Harry to Voldemort with avada kedavra even supposing Harry could which I doubt. I think JK has a twist for us here. Perhaps Voldemort can by Harry's hand in a way other than Harry ing him directly...

I'm worried for Ron because of the chess scene in PS, and the boggart scene in OotP but I think Ron is too tragic for a children's book...so I don't think he ...how would Hermione live with Ron ? Hermione too survive.

I don't think Ginny . Yes, she resembles Lily in many ways but while Lily d because of her love for Harry I think Ginny live because of her love for Harry. I can't think that JK would be so cruel as to deny Harry the love of his life. He must be free in the end to love and be loved surely?

Hagrid...for the reasons given by others. How can he go on at Hogwarts without Hagrid and all his monster pals? Hagrid wouldn't hesitate to to save Harry should the need arise...

On the bad side...Snape possibly redeem himself by to enable Harry to vanquish Voldemort...Pettigrew because he owes a life to Harry...Bellatrix

Despite a Hogwarts' education both Harry and Hermoine have been raised in the muggle world. There is no actual reason why this could not be used to advantage. The fact is that the Ministry of Magic can't understand 'fire-legs'. Then it is probable (in this literary environment) that the Eaters are similarly uninformed about modern Muggle weapons and would not recognize the danger immediately. A non Verbal spell 'gives the wizard a split second advantage because the opponent does not know what spell the caster is about to use' (Standard book of Spells, Grade 6) The same advantage is true of a MUGGLE WEAPON. It is not impossible that the sudden use of a muggle weapon would not surprise Eaters or even Voldemort.

The main obstruction to this line of reasoning is my feeling that JKR would be opposed to 'real world' violence intruding into 'her' magical world.

Well here is what makes sense to me. Snape Ron making harry throw one of his tantrums seeing this and finally get to the point of anger and cast the Advada Kadavra curse because after that harry feel purely wanting to Snape. Or the victim could be Hagrid who be ed by Bellatrix making Harry do what i said before.

Lupin beats Greyback in a werewolf fight hands down, here's why. The only reason Lupin has to transform in the first place is because Greyback attacked him as a kid and stole his childhood. Assuming Lupin's under the effects of the wolfsbane potion Lupin have his wits about him and be able to plan and formulate his attacks vs. Greyback acting on instinct. The bigger they are the harder they fall. We know that Greyback is a beast he'll be a big, built, and powerfull, Lupin is considerably smaller and for my money that means he'll bring speed, accuracy, and evasiveness to the table. Lastly Greybacks pack leader of the werewolves I think this battle mirror Harry's struggles against Voldemort. It's pure evil and power against couragous good. (The secret weapon being love? That I don't know about. I just don't see Lupin loving Greyback to , or Harry doing likewise with Voldemort.)

Ooops... I made that sound like I think it's no contest between the two werewolves. All I'm saying is Lupin just has to win. I think however, that he most likely in the process. I mean it is Fenrir Greyback I'm talking about here.

I think Lupin and Peter Pettigrew are going to because they are the last of the Marauders, and Rowling probably decided to all the Marauders in the end.
