Final Deathly Hallows Debates: Who Lives and Who Dies?

We know for sure that some characters are going to die in Deathly Hallows. Last year in an interview, J.K. Rowling said that two characters die who she had not originally thought would die in the end of the story. That means at least two characters die, but probably more. And that's probably not counting Harry and/or Voldemort. So who lives and who dies? Tell us who you think will die, and more importantly, why you think so.

I think too many relationships would have to be broken for certain people to . Remember the power of love. Therefore, Harry & Ginny, Ron & Hermione, Luna & Neville, Tonks & Lupin, Hagrid & Maxime all are safe. Bet on singletons: Snape, Wormtail, Fenrir, Percy Weasley, Voldemort to bite it.

I actually think Wormtail save Harry by using his silver hand to Fenrir before it's over. Just a guess.

well if you go to J.K's site she says that the giant squid is actually the largest animagus in the world and at the eleventh hour he rises and transforms into Godric Gryffindor... so my guess is Godric somehow be involved in the of Voldemort... and maybe he may as well...this gives us a better insight as J.K also said that someone does magic very late in there life even though this is very rare... maybe im just deluded but my theory is Godric, LV, one of the trio (my guess is Ron), Ginny, snape and wormtail snuff it in the 7th book...

I think that in the end Harry because since his blood brought back Voldemort it can also Voldemort. I also think that in the end all the bad guys and Harry's blood can bring back all the good guys who d.

When some of the main characters have to , most of the time it is the bad guy after ing one of the good guy's most valuable friends...

It is very stereotype that friends of the good guy just when they are happy.

So my theory is that Ron finally declares the love to Hermione. After that he gets ed and Harry s Voldemort of course with help from the Order...

Also I think that, when you look very clear to the Order, te risk what it takes when you join them, someone of them has to .

I can't help but noticing that throughout the books JKR only tends to main characters that are older, unmarried and childless (Sirius & Dumbledore) -- except for Harry's parents of course. I would conclude therefore that Snape and Slughorn are probably next...what do you think?

Andy: I think Snape made a promise to Lily when he was involved with her, probably an UV, and because of that, he had to protect Harry (maybe it has to do with the fact that Harry has Lily's eyes). When Snape realized that Voldemort was intending to Harry, he had to protect Harry and change sides.

here is my list of the people i think and how

1. voldy - well duh
2. lucius malfoy - draco and his mother him for getting draco in with voldys lot
3. greyback - by lupin in a wearwolf fight
4. posibly fred or george or both and by saving ginny if they do
5. lestrange - by neville or his grangmother for driving his mother and father/son and his husband to insanity
6. Umbridge - fighting eaters and stuff like that
7. my final has to be 2 of the dursleys and 1 do magic but not sure how it happens

and i think that dumbledore is infact DEAD hewas hit by a "jet of green light" that indicates avada kedavra no doubt and as for sirius he isnt he is in hiding waiting for the big battle to spring into action. well thats all i thinks going happen i just got to wait and find out in the book.

going along with my other one about harry's blood saving everyone good i think that in the end all of harry's friends stand in front of him and protect him and all of them take down voldemort but they all to but harry's blood can bring them all back.

I hope that no one of the trio get ed in HP7.
I saw all movies but only started to read (all) the books 8 weeks ago. It is clear that I became hooked on the HP books (finishing reading the 6 books within 8 weeks).
Normally I'm not the type of person reading fantasy and being 42 years.... This story though got me bewitched and I'm debating with my nephews of 16 and 13 about the end of the HP saga, leaving all the other members of the family thinking I'm a little bit "strange"...
The story (starting out being a childrens book) becomes darker and darker, and the music in the film has a melodramatic touch now that easily makes you cry and getting big goosebumps...
Who s?
When JKR needed half a bottle of champagne after finishing the book, the end must be horrible or she "celebrated" her own private "Farewell" to the HP-saga? Let's hope for the last possibility, although I'm not soooo sure about that.
I think it might be the of a mother figure that get's her so upset after finishing the story. Therefore I think Mrs Weasly s. I also think there's something "wrong" with Petunia - living as she has done might have just been her way of protecting herself from the magic world which got her sister ed and might have torn her family apart. She knew what "dementors" are, how come?
I expect some "shocking" stories from Petunia.
Snape might get ed saving Harry's life. He might have been in love with Lilly and Harry "the-son-he-never-had".
Apart from all the "bad guys" I cannot imagine any other "youngster" being ed, but, who knows....
I don't think Harry be ed; but Hermione or Ron...might be, would be horrible...
We soon find out! I'm counting the days....

Andy from Michigan:

You ask why Snape originally changed. If you remember in the OotP after the dementor attack, Aunt Petunia said she heard "that boy" tell Lily about the dementors when she was younger. "That Boy" had to be Snape. James and Lily didn't start dating until 7th year, and it has been theorized that Snape may have been in love with Lily too. After Voldemort attacked the Potters ing particularly Lily, Snape had a change of heart. He has always hated Harry for looking like James (& in his eyes, acting like him too), but he has always been reminded of Lily when looking at Harry because HP has "his mother's eyes". I can see that being Snape's last remark when he is : "I saved you because you have your mother's eyes." Much has been written that Snape has a to James, but I can't see Snape thinking that was much of a to be paid. His ultimate was because he was a factor in Lily's .
