Final Deathly Hallows Debates: Who Lives and Who Dies?

 We know for sure that some characters are going to die in Deathly Hallows. Last year in an interview, J.K. Rowling said that two characters die who she had not originally thought would die in the end of the story. That means at least two characters die, but probably more. And that's probably not counting Harry and/or Voldemort. So who lives and who dies? Lucy, if Dumbledore came back as a baby, he wouldn't be of great help to Harry. But maybe that's what you're suggesting.
I don't think possible for Jo to Harry, for one good reason: If Harry s, it be a tremendous shock and everybody be informed at once. I mean that if Snape s at the end, that won't be a major news. But if Harry s, it's the main news for everyone as soon as the book is released, before anyone can entirely read the book. You can be sure that radio and tv journalists jump to the end of ly Hallows to find out if there is a big news like this one, to be the first to tell it (less than one hour would be enough to know whether Harry is still living or not at the end of DH). For this reason, I think that major turnovers be concealed in the text and not appear in the first quick reading, or be too complex to fit in a radio/tv news. Jo (and her editor) is too much aware of media commnication to fall in such a trick, that would spoil the reading of million fans, and discourage million other fans to buy the book. After seeing the interview with JK on television and her saying that she started weeping uncontrollably while writing the next to last chapter, I think she ed Harry!

I think we can all stop consoling ourselves with "it's a children series" book. JKR hasn't let that stop her from ing characters.
Also as mentioned, it be big news when book 7 is available, but I don't think that would have stopped JKR from ing Harry either. The mass communication availability is a reality, but would you really rewrite an ending just because of the www?
I know the feeling of rationalizing whether Harry s or lives. I have been doing it since I read HBP. Deep down I want Harry to live, but I can't see how JKR can let him live and make the storyline pausible. That's the rub for me. If she s him in the end, I just want it to make sense and not just because of keeping Harry to herself. That would make JKR the "most selfish" person in the world. i believe that harry cannot have adults protecting him any longer. he has to be alone in order to finally vanquish voldemort once and for all. this means that the following may have to 1. hagrid: hagrid has been able to get harry through the tough times in his school year particularly in the 1st year. He is there when harry has concerns questions or needs help. 2. snape: i think snape because he really is good and does try to save harry at times like that event at the quidditch game. He just like hagrid possibly trying to save harry. 3. Lupin: i also think that lupin because he is the final adult guardian that truly was one of james's friends and cared about harry. He taught harry so much and talked with him about his parents so lovingly that sadly he also trying to save harry.

ok I do believe that some people maybe the maximum about 5 in the next book. I DON'T think that j.k rowling go and off half of the characters in harry potter and the dealthy hollows. I read these comments and i am astounded by what some of you have wrote like containing a large amount of people that she has introduced to us in these past books.
