Final Deathly Hallows Debates: Who Lives and Who Dies?

We know for sure that some characters are going to die in Deathly Hallows. Last year in an interview, J.K. Rowling said that two characters die who she had not originally thought would die in the end of the story. That means at least two characters die, but probably more. And that's probably not counting Harry and/or Voldemort. So who lives and who dies? Tell us who you think will die, and more importantly, why you think so.

I really hope I'm wrong but I think Ron and Hermoine , or maybe one of them. Maybe Harry has to chose between Ron and Hermoine and one of them has to .

My sister thinks that Draco Malfoy , maybe she is right. I really don't know.

I also think Voldermort , but I hope Draco Malfoy survive! I know, he is bad, but I hope he won't !

In the new interview JK Rowling said that in a chapter near the end she ABSOLUTELY HOWLED! Her reaction to writing that chapter has me worried. I've cried in almost every book for one reason or another, particularly books 4-6. I can only imagine what this book do to me. I think we all better buy several boxes of tissues with our purchase of the book because it's said in the interview that the entire book is emotional.

Yes, I know he is a parselmouth, but is is because Voldemort transferred this ability to him, and yes, he can also conjure a patronus because he had to learn how to do it to be able to defend himself from the dementors, but it was not easy for him, it took him a long time and a lot of practice and effort to be able to do it. I did not say he does not have any powers, I said he does not have the knowledge or power of a great wizard, at the same level of Voldemort right now. He himself told Ron and Hermione in OoTP when they were trying to make him teach DADA that a lot of the things he did, it was pure luck or because help had come at the last minute, but that most of the times, he really did not know what he was doing. And that is my whole point, he still does not have the knowledge and ability that he really needs to get rid of Voldemort on his own, of course he could become a great wizard in the future, he definitely has the potential and the ability, but at this point in his life, he still needs the help of real great wizards like Dumbledore or Snape to be able to do it.

I don't agree with the theory that Harry is a Horcrux, because horcruxes are not made by accident, and Voldemort was trying to Harry when he was a baby, not trying to make a horcrux out of him, so if that had happened, it would have had to have been an accident and that is not the way horcruxes are made.

I don't expect that either of the trio be ed in DH, but in the end, this is JK's story and she could do with it whatever she wanted, I just think that it would be a mistake if either of them or Ginny s, since we are not expecting the series to be in the tragedy genre, and we are hoping that after all the things he has gone through, after all the horrible ways he has been treated by the Dursleys (I hope they do get what they deserve in DH), and other people, Harry deserves to have some long lasting happiness at last, which would come with love, friendship, and peace of mind with the knowledge that nobody is trying to him anymore, but I do agree with Tim from St. Louis, that even if something like that happens (one of them ), Harry Lives! and I still be a big fan of the books and the movies.

I have enjoyed this website inmensely. It has given me a lot of entertainment, and it has filled a lot of the time when I would have been bored, had I not had it to come to. I think this may be my last comment, at least until after I read DH, so... Thank you very much Dave Haber!

...two weeks seems like two years. I am debating with myself whether to preorder and get a good night's sleep the night before or just go in and buy it at midnight, and read it straight through.
Anyway, in the A Very Frosty Christmas Chapter, Fred (or George) mentions a very pretty Muggle working in a paper shop who is impressed by his card tricks. Maybe we see two Weasley marriages in the book?

How can harry be a horcrux? Voldemort has been trying to him all these years and you dont become a horcrux by accident. I think Jk didnt intend snape to but the way its shaping out i think he . Voldemort i think but she already planned that so i think somebody unexpected such as luna lovegod etc. Harry have to voldemort but he need lots of help doing it. The people help harry destroy the horcruxes and i believe snape destroying the last one then harry be free to a mortal tom riddle. He hasnt got the magical power but he has power the dark lord knows not.

To Tim (page 29), who said, "I cry at their wake and drink to their memory," I lift my glass alongside you. Thank you for sharing your story and proving to all that it is not only the lives of children that Jo has enriched.

As far as I'm concerned it's a black/white situation. Either Harry s Voldy or vice versa, as was said in the prophecy and then confirmed by Dumbledore. I'm not saying there won't be other s-there most certainly be- but that if Voldy s, it be harry who s him- not neville or hermione or anybody else. However, I think it's a possibility that ALL of the weasleys (sniffle, sniffle, sob) be ed by eaters because of being "blood-traitors".

Remember how dumbledore was always reminding voldemort that there are things far worse than ? Well I think voldy because it's own fault he made the prophecy true and because of how he never took Dumbledore's advice. That's probably also why dumbledore was totally okay with . is the worst that could happen because voldemort himself made it so.

I'm almost completely sure that snape . Harry be down or something, voldemort casts avada kedavra, snape jumps in the way, and you can guess what happens to him. I think it happen at the end of the fight, and Harry voldemort soon after that.

One more thing I forgot, which is sad but true, is that it would be smart from JK's view to Harry. If he doesn't , someone come along later and make another Harry Potter series after any copyrights end. No matter how much she hates it, she may have to him, just like steven King said.
