Final Deathly Hallows Debates: Who Lives and Who Dies?

We know for sure that some characters are going to die in Deathly Hallows. Last year in an interview, J.K. Rowling said that two characters die who she had not originally thought would die in the end of the story. That means at least two characters die, but probably more. And that's probably not counting Harry and/or Voldemort. So who lives and who dies? Tell us who you think will die, and more importantly, why you think so.

But doesnt the prophecy say that "NO ONE can live if the other survives"?

That means both have to .

I like the idea of the chess match as a metaphor for the battle...but where does Snape fit in?

Posted by Joe from England on June 27, 2007 03:08 AM

I think that Harry is going to have to himself. If that happens, I think I'm going to cry.

Harry destroy the horcruxes, fight Voldemort, . Then in his confidence, Voldemort walk into the street (without looking), get hit by the Knight bus and .

A lot of people think Ginny . But why? She was Harry's girlfriend for only a few chapters in HBP.

Wormtail won't trying to save Harry. He is just not brave enough to do that. He has been portrayed as a selfish coward and there is no reason for that to change in the last book. He may save Harry though...but without causing himself any harm.

I agree with you Sager. Wormtail is too much of a coward to do anything. But he may save Harry if it doesnt harm him.

Firstly, Hagrid and Lupin . Hagrid is now an outcast of everything that he was a part of (the forbidden forest, the giants, the spiders, the centaurs). I just have a gut feeling that Lupin won't live...

The trio not make it out together. Personally, I see the coming to Ron.

Snape probably . I highly doubt Draco , although Narcissa and Lucius I am not sure about.

Many members of the Order of the Phoenix probably perish... Tonks (if Lupin s, she probably too), Shacklebolt maybe, and more.

Ginny is the one that I'm not sure of. The resemblance between her and Lily Potter are worth noting... perhaps she meet the same fate.

Now. Harry and Voldemort. First of all, there is no possible way that Harry's scar is a Horcrux. Keep in mind that Horcruxes are made when someone is ed, and Harry survived. Also, Voldemort has tried to Harry four times in the series (Books 1, 2, 4, & 5). He wouldn't want to Harry if he was a Horcrux. I personally think that, whether or not Harry lives, Voldemort .

And that's my theory.

I'm sorry to even think this but it's either ron, hermione, ginny, lupin, hagrid, and one of the dursleys that . it's sad but what'll happen? someone close to harry .
