Final Deathly Hallows Debates: Unanswered Septology Questions
Like Hogwarts Castle itself, the Harry Potter books hold many mysteries, and have many hidden secrets. Hopefully, most of these mysteries will be answered in the final book. Is something funny going on at St. Mungos? What ever happened to Sirius' two-way mirrors? Where is Fawkes? There are so many others. What mystery are you most looking forward to being answered, and how do you think it will come out?

What if Lily and Petunia are the daughters of Voldemort's father and the women he was in love with? Maybe his wife was pregnant in the time that Voldemorts mother gave him those love-potions, and than Lily and Petunia would have been borned when theire father was gone, and then they would get there morthers last name. Meanwhile, voldemort is born and Lily is his half-sister. Because of this bond, Lily became a witch.
This would explain why Voldemort didn't want to Lily, why lily's parents are , and why Voldemort picked Harry instead of Neville as the chosen one.
Little bit far-fetched, but just another theory...

I was thinking about a theory that Joe (from England) mentioned a while back about the possibility of the Fidelius Charm being used on the locket horcrux. It made this question spring to mind: can the Fidelius Charm be broken by someone other than the Secret Keeper? I don't mean divulge the secret, I mean break the charm. Jo has already said that when the Secret Keeper s, he/she takes the secret with him/her. By that logic, 12 Grimmauld Place , for all intents and purposes, cease to exist once all of the remaining Order members eventually (in battle, of old age, whatever). In other words, the house be there, but no one could find it because the Secret Keeper d. Unless the charm can really be broken by a very powerful bit of magic, 12 Grimmauld Place slowly fade.

You know, I've always wondered why in the HBP when Harry and Dumbledore were retrieving the Horcrux...why didn't they have someone else drink the potion? For instance, Harry could have summoned Dobby or Kreacher to drink the Potion instead, therefore reducting the in the loss of health and of Dumbledore. Maybe this has some significance. I don't know, just thought I'd mention it.

To Will - That is a very good theory.
It is very much probable that harry may have a sibling. and dumbledore took him or her away under the invisibility cloak and thats how he had it.
but then why keep it from them?

Why is snape so unhappy, in school as well as after school?
he lives alone, does that mean he never got married?
Did dumbledore have a family?
Is hogwarts shut during vacation?
Why was it important to bring the muggle president in picture? Will the muggles feel and notice the final war(s)?
Why arent hermys parents worried about her adventures, she doesnt tell them or is there more that meets the eye?
Does hermione have any siblings?

dumbeldore says nitwit, blubber, oddment and tweak to the whole school in harry's first year so if it really was significant i doubt dumby would say it in front of all the students and teachers...
also in the GoF during the Quidditch World Cup we are introduced to a lot of foreign wizarding communities. So if the the wizards in London are at war, how come no one has come in to help from the foreign places?

Prongs - I agree with you on the Zacharias Smith link to Helga Hufflepuff. Jo has said there are people in the books with the same last name who aren't related, specifically to Mark Evans and Lily Evans, but I actually think this was her trying to lead us off course.

Is anyone else curious about when Harry and Dumbledore arrived back in Hogsmeade at the end of HBP, why Dumbledore insisted on needing Snape's help, as if he had some power that Dumbledore did not have? I think it only plays into the theory of Snape was acting on Dumbledore's orders, or he switched places with Dumbledore via polyjuice potion.

I think some people agree with me on this matter: If the name of the 7th book is "and the ly hollows", and Voldemort was trying to collect relics of the four founders, then maybe just like when strong knight warriors they are burried with their shields, maybe Harry is going to Godrics Hollow in search of Godrics grave with his shield which might be a horcrux.
On a completely different matter i was wondering if a new type of broomstick is ever going to be made like THE LIGHTNINGBOLT! (i made it up)
Also i just dont think its possible for Dumbledore to , he's just too important of a person to . My theory is that in the 6th book when Snape and Albus were arguing and Snape said that he was being overworked, Dumbledore was asking Snape to give up his life. By this i mean that it wasnt Dumbledore who came with Harry inside that cave, and it wasnt Dumbledore who was confronted by Malfoy and ed by "Snape", but Snape with some polyjuice potion that visited Voldemorts cave with Harry, Snape with some polyjuice potion that was confronted by Malfoy (and thats how the "polyjuiced dumbledore/Snape in the lightning struck tower knew what Malfoy was doing all year), and Snape with some polyjuice potion that was ed by the polyjuiced Snape which was really Dumbledore.
I have another question to ask: In the 4th book Voldemort said that he used powerfull magic to break through the memory charm that Mr. Crouch had placed on Bertha Jorkins which was so powerfull that in the end it damaged her brain. So if Voldemourt did use powerfull magic with his wand before he actually ed Bertha then why when the echos and last bits of magic Voldemort wand had casted came bursting out of his wand during priori icantatem did the echo of Bertha Jorkins come out and not also some form of the magic that Voldemort had used to break Bertha's memory charm?
Now comes the small little questons:
1) hogwarts reopen?
2) what happen with Harry and Ginny?
3) what ever happened to fluffy?
4) If a person would become an animargus and be able to transform into a pheonix while he or she is their normal human selves be extremely strong and just cry on a wound and heal it?
5) Can house elves get married and have children?
6) if they can Dobby and Winky get married?
7) Is it possible to communicate with dementores?
8) is a bad conspiracy going to happen at Bill and Fleurs wedding?
9) Greyback bite any more people?
10) are there going to be any games of quiditch in the 7th book?

How was it that Snape had created the very spell that Harry had seen his own father use against Snape in the pensieve? it seems odd that they would have used his own spell against him and he wasn't able to counterattack.
