Final Deathly Hallows Debates: Unanswered Septology Questions

Like Hogwarts Castle itself, the Harry Potter books hold many mysteries, and have many hidden secrets. Hopefully, most of these mysteries will be answered in the final book. Is something funny going on at St. Mungos? What ever happened to Sirius' two-way mirrors? Where is Fawkes? There are so many others. What mystery are you most looking forward to being answered, and how do you think it will come out?

If Voldemort was pushed through the veil in the Department of Mysteries, would he ?

Susi,

I didn't mean that Nagini and Voldemort were one and the same. I meant, it is an assumption that it was Nagini at MoM, but who is to say it was not Nagini that night but Voldemort in animagus form. I wonder how Nagini got to the MoM - if it indeed was the snake? I suspect the visitors entrance and floo powder are out of the question - and how did Nagini get out again after the attack?

Crookshanks is part Kneazle and Kneazle's are highly intelligent cat creatures who can sniff out dodgy people. The question I would like answering about Crookshanks is just who owned him before Hermione? I mean he was in the Pet Shop for a long time - yet he sussed Peter Pettigrew/Scabbers in about 30 seconds and has extreme loyalty towards Sirius Black.

i was reading the question about why didn't dumbledore use a time turner to go back and stop voldemort. i think its because he doesn't like to meddle with destiny, he knows what happened and he knew it was meant to happen.

now a question. when harry's parents were ed dumbledore himself did not go get him instead he sent hagrid. but if he sent hagrid how did he find it if not told by the secret keeper who we believe was wormtail.

now a theorie(and i hope im wrong). What if they made dumbledore their secret keeper and it was not wormtail who told voldemort where the potters were hidden.(and like i said i hope im wrong)

well everybody this be the last time i get on this site for a few days since im going to a midnight release of ly Hallows and need time to soak in the book but ill be on after that time period is up. So happy camping fans and ill talk to everyone later.

Lucy, it was explained that Harry couldn't see the thestrals at the end of book 4 because he was still in shock. During the summer, he was able to process what happened and that is why he could see them the next year.

Why did Voldemort go after the Potter family in the first place? were the potters just part of the order of the phoenix, or is it some grudge- maybe since harry may be the only heir of gryffindor, did voldemort want to go after him? it's been a while since I've read the books, and I don't remember reading an explanation for this.

Will we see portraits of any founder of hogwarts? why should not be there portraits of founders when there are for every headmaster.

The theory about Lily being related to Weasley, theres one big flaw that i believe proves otherwise. If Jo intended that to be the case, it would be, it would be weird that Harry and Ginny got together.

Im still very interested in how Voldemort and Harry intend to get around the connection between their wands. I believe the lack of wands at the US cover is related to that question.

where does voldemort live (in OOtP it can be assumed it is Riddles's house) but what about other times and previously? also, how do eaters know where to apparate (grave yard in GoF) when dark mark burns (as 3D's for apparition needs to concentrate on destination), can only concentrating on "Dark lord's side" work?

Kim from Manchester:

yes harry did encounter via cedric diggory in book 4, thus allowing him to see thestrals.

but...in book 1 he saw prof. quirrel right in front of him, so technically he shouldve been able to see thestrals from book 2 on, right?

i was just thinking...the lightning struck tower is a tarot card, the chapter in which dumbledore s, and pretty much where he s. i cant remember if trelawney pulls the card out upside down when she did, but wikipedia explains that when pulled upside down it can mean:
"To be currently in a harsh and chaotic situation but exiting in a good manners."
this means to land on your feet, in a way, when falling.
could this possibly have a connection to when dumbledore told them he was just using good manners before ? or was that just part of his character and a freaky coincidence?

The night when Voldemort ed both lily and james, and attempted to harry, he was "stripped from his body and reduced to vapor" or something along those lines. if he was in such a feeble state, how could he take his wand with him, and keep it for 13 years?

someone else had to be with him in the house
