Final Deathly Hallows Debates: Unanswered Septology Questions
Like Hogwarts Castle itself, the Harry Potter books hold many mysteries, and have many hidden secrets. Hopefully, most of these mysteries will be answered in the final book. Is something funny going on at St. Mungos? What ever happened to Sirius' two-way mirrors? Where is Fawkes? There are so many others. What mystery are you most looking forward to being answered, and how do you think it will come out?

was there a pheonix flying out of the fire before dumbledore was intombed? Who was that tall blond person firing cruses everywhere in the battle of the order and eaters. Is snape good or bad. Does alchemy have anything to do with defending voldemort is that why snape wanted Harry to do better in potions. I have been thinking the same thing Josh from CT. did they ever say what happened to lily and james's bos. I'm afraid he may have made harry's perents in to iferi. Lily eyes are green like a cat, maybe when james and the others were turning them selves into animals maybe lily turned herself into a cat. Has anyone ever wonder about crookshanks and how smart he is. i think he is somekind of wizard. I think Nicholas flamel and alchemy is going to play an important part in the last book thus bringing the books in full circle. Here's three cheers to the last book of Harry potter and the boy who be know as getting different nations loving him and his adventures, To Harry Potter!

Chucklepea from Kingston,
What if JKR was just trying to trick us. Hermione was always telling us about people who d in the Daily Prophet. Maybe Jo was talking about these.
It may be a bit of paranoia, but I don't want to believe that Dumbledore is .

A weird thing just occured to me. Sirius said in PoA that Pettigrew, blew up a whole street with his wand behind his back... What on earth was the curse that he used? If it was in fact Avada Kedavra, wouldnt it have only ed one person not 13 like the book said? I think there may be an even worse curse than Avada Kedavra that may have been used by voldemort totry and Harry. It seems a little unlikely, but it explains the blown up house...(Note that in GoF, the whole classroom DOESN'T blow up when Moody shows them the Avada Kedavra, and when Snape ""ed"" Dumbledore, Dumbledore flew straight up into the air.) I think that JK hasn't really explained truly what Avada Kedavra does, we know it s someone but we don't really know how...

JKR said we're going to find out more about Lily and Dumbledore. I wonder what that's going to be. It's pretty obvious that Aberforth is the barman at the Hog's Head. I think that he can tell Harry a lot about Dumbledore and give him information that can help him. I also wonder what Harry do to defeat Voldemort because he's definitely not going to say "Avada Kedavra" or use any of the Unforgivables. I think that whatever happens to Voldemort be worse than . Dumbledore said that there are things worse than .

Harry didn't cause Quirell's , but voldemord did by leaving, nor did he see it, he passed away when Quirrel was still alive and Dumbledore pulled him from Harry.
In the movie, he caused and saw it, but in the books he didn't. and if he could see them in the movie, he couldn't see them until next year, because he was getting back with boats, remember?
i have a question which should be solved as well:
Do the house-elves continue working for the new headmaster or are house-elves free after the of their master?
(because there is a house-elf on the front of the book)

I've been checking out this website lately, and I've started to think R.A.B's identity is quite important.
Also, I feel that Will's theory is quite good, yet hard to believe. It was not mentioned in Book 6 that Snape moved his hand infront of Dumbledore's body. I feel that R.A.B may be alive, and he may be able to help Harry destroy Voldemort's remaining horcruxes. More has be told when ly Hallows releases. It was said that y Hallows is like "Relics of ", and so I think that it means the horcruxes.
Also, I think Dumbledore's is planned, and I think the Goblet of Fire has something to do with this. Near the end of the book, after Voldemort had returned, and Harry had dueled with him, and escaped the graveyard, he was taken to Dumbledore's office. When told that Voldemort had returned, Dumbledore's eyes had a gleam of triumph. I feel this is extremely important, and have a something major to do with ly Hallows.

All though it is possible for harry's parents to be turned into inferri I doubt it since Voldimort moved right on to harry after ing them, so he wouldn't of had time.
Also I just want to point out that harrys "love protection" only works against magic AND it doesn't make him immune, he is still affected against plenty of magic and someone could walk up to him and stab him, voila, harry is . It is only useful against voldemort and possibly a few other select individuals and its now useless against voldy.

JKR said that we're going to find out why the fact that Harry has Lily's eyes is so significant. What if Lily can somehow see through Harry's eyes?

When their master s, house elves are inherited by someone else, like Harry inherited Kreacher from Sirius after he d, so I suppose the same thing happens at Hogwarts, since they don't belong to the Headmaster in a personal manner, but they belong to the school, so the new Headmaster would be their new master.

Chucklepea - In support of your comment about Harry reaching up to Gryffindor's sword on the US cover, actually, that might be just it, and it fits quite well with herve's theory about the sword being at least modeled after, if not actually, Nuada's sword. Since their wands don't work against each other, perhaps a sword that can only cause fatal wounds be the way Harry s Voldemort.
Tarz - You bring up a good observation. We are pretty sure that, even if it misses, Avada Kedavra does not blow up whole buildings or streets. I was under the impression that Peter used a different spell, and curios if it was the same spell that destroyed the Potter's house. But what would Voldemort's reasons for destroying the house be?
George - I believe house-elves are more bound to the house than the master, which explains how Sirius got Kreature after his mom d, and Harry got Kreature after Sirius d.
Here's something to consider: the portraits of the Hogwarts headmasters are honor-bound to serve the current headmaster/mistress, not the students. Even if Harry was able to get into the office, would Albus' portrait be able to respond to any questions. Sure it would be ing, but what if they are also bound to not discuss too much with anyone but the headmaster, hence all the feigned sleeping?

I think we learn more about Crookshanks..something is significant that he lived in the shop Hermione got him from "for a long time".
While Regulus is probably RAB, I wonder if Amelia Bones had a different first name. She was ed by Voldemort himself. Is there a connection with her family and Hufflepuff's cup? When Tom Riddle came to see Dumbledore about a job, his hand twitches..could he have magically put Hufflepuff's cup in the trophy case at Hogwarts, disguised as a trophy? Leaving a horcrux at Hogwarts?
Why do first year students enter Hogwarts from the lake, even in bad weather? Is there something that happens (to let the castle know these are new students and belong at Hogwarts) as they cross the lake, and go under the ivy that conceals the entrance under the castle?
Only a few more days to find out all of our answers...what clue was important, what was not.
