Dumbledore Is Not !

by David Haber

Well... maybe not. At least, I don't think he is. Snape's betrayal and the of Dumbledore caught me completely by surprise. Dumbledore was , and on top of that, Snape had done it. And all of the clues point to two possibilities, that Dumbledore's not really , or at the very least, that Snape's not really a Eater, and he Dumbledore because Dumbledore ordered him to, as part of a grand plan.

Here is my theory on why Dumbledor is still alive:

We all know that Dumbledore's pet is Fawkes the phoenix. So what if it were possible that Dumbledore was an animagus and could turn into a phoenix?...but whats so special about a phoenix u ask? Well near their , they spontaneously burst into flames and are re-born from thier ashes. In HBP we see that at the , Dumbledore is not buried, but that his body is consumed in flames. Given that he could possibly be an animagus, what if he is reborn from the ashes only to return to our surprise in JK Rowlings final book.

I'm trying to find the quote online still, but no luck. At the end of the new movie, Luna had a quote about people coming back in different forms. Anybody help? I plan on going to see it again soon, but I think it's really important in figuring out the last book.

Dumbledore is definitely . i mean, why would dumbledore and snape plan a fake without at least telling someone else, if not harry so that he would not have to go through this grief.....unless they wanted voldemort and his eaters to believe there wasn't anything a bit suss going on.

JK has stated that Dumbledore is definitely

But that doesn't mean he won't be in the next book

1. Hogwarts ghosts

2. James and Lily come back to talk to Harry during the Priori Incantum scene in GOF

3. Dumbledore may be in that time period, but he seems to know more than he lets on. This one is a wild theory, but bare with me! Maybe Dumbledore spent that year out of Hogwarts with a plan to get rid of the Horcruxes, and thats when he sustained his injury. Then he found out something important had happened (such as his own ) and realised he had to go back in time (by means of Timeturner or otherwise) and when he went back in time, it is then that he spends the year at Hogwarts helping Harry in his extra lessons. Then at the end of the year he s. This theory would leave the other Dumbledore (the one pre-time travel) alive to instruct Harry during Book 7

Yes, that is a pretty extravagant theory, and highly (VERY highly) unlikely

but it popped into my head, and I thought it was a funny theory

If Dumbledore is to reappear in the next Book, it most likely be as a Ghost. Or possibly in another Priori Incantum scene, this time between Snape and Harry. This would only be possible if Snape is revealed to be allied to Voldemort

Something to think about, yes?

But there is more...The Hogs Head landlord bares a stiking resemblance to Albus, don't you think?

MyKo: that's not extravagant: Dumbledore going back to the past to appear in the books we read, and being in book 7 as a younger one is a very interesting idea.

I think Dumbledore really is . However, he begged Snape to him because he was aware Snape had made the Unbreakable vow, and therefore, if Malfoy ed him, Snape would . However, Snape was neccessary for the master plan (whatever it is) and if he d, then the plan would be ruined. Therefore, Snape needed to Dumbledore, and that's why he said "Severus, please". He was begging for Snape to him so Snape wouldn't due to violating the Unbreakable Vow when Malfoy ed Dumbledore.

Ryan, in the movie OoTP Luna tells Harry, while she is trying to locate her belongings at the end of the year, that her mom told her that everything (or usually?) things that are lost come back to us...but not necessarily in the same form. something like that. that line struck me immediately and i had to check that i hadn't missed it in the book. it is not in the book. anyway, i'm thinking that this may pertain to sirius and/or dumbledore. definately worth remembering.

has anyone ever thought hagrid was a double agent for voldemort? dumbledore has said he can trust hagrid with his life, this is a positive for voldemort. harrys trio positively adores him. another for voldemort. maybe this is the reason why lucius and malfoy whenever in contact with him call him an ignorant oaf (or something very insulting) because he is in close or direct contact with the dark lord. ok maybe you are asking how would hagrid get involved with something like voldemort. maybe while consorting with the giants in OotP. before hagrid found the giants the eaters found hagrid's mom and held her hostage while the dark lord or a eater high up on the chain gave hagrid directions or made him make a deal because as anyone who has read the series knows hagrid has a heart of gold at first he says no but with hostile negotiations he accepts. so know hagrid go to hagrid with grawp his half "brother" as a scapegoat for his injuries. now he secretly infiltrates the great castle for a book and a half.

I am not sure if this is true or not but i was thinking when Dumbledore is in the hospital wing why is only Madam Pomfrey upset when Lupin and Tonks are both there. Surley they would be upset too? Unless they are in on the plan.

I think Dumbledore is still alive because Snape was using a non-verbal spell and this caused Dumbledore to fall off the tower, and in the 3rd book at Harry's quidditch match Harry is attacked by Dementors and falls off his broom and Dumbledore uses a spell "arresto momentum" which catches Harry so he could use this on himself and take a draught of living potion.

At the , Harry sees a shape almost like a pheonix fly out of the tomb type thing. I think this was Dumbledore's Patronus going to send a message to someone, but who?

Posted by Potter Fanatic on July 15, 2007 12:22 PM

I do believe Dumbledore is but I think that Snape (as part of some grand plan) helped him in order to help Harry. Possibly by Dumbledore, Sirius and his parents all out of love for Harry this help in the end make Harry even stronger. We all know mention of his mother for him made him strong. Maybe Dumbledore realized this and gave this final gift to Harry to fight Voldemort. As far as Albus returning...of this I have no doubt, but he remain .
